You have made a good choice with the purchase of your Brother Latex Wide-Format device.
This guarantee can be claimed if the Print Heads (within the scope of its intended use) is damaged during the guarantee period (2 years) on the due to material or manufacturing defects. This guarantee is valid only for the WF1-L640 Latex Wide-Format printing device and for new machine installations from 1st May 2025 onwards and represents an additional 1 year warranty for the Print Heads. The standard warranty for the machine excluding the Print Heads remains untouched.
Important information for warranty claims
1. Registration
Only devices registered via this Brother website are qualified for the two-year warranty.
2. Notification
Please contact your dealer for any service issue.
3. other options for reporting a warranty claim
If notification by telephone is not possible, the warranty claim must be notified
immediately in writing before the repair, with a detailed description of the fault and an
error description including .pec file to your dealer.
4. Loss of functionality is not covered by the warranty caused by
- force majeure
- improper use
- use of non-original Brother consumables
or accessories
- modification of the original design of the device or
installation of parts or accessories not authorized by the manufacturer
- Incorrect set-up/installation
- external influences of any kind (such as transport damage,
damage due to impact or shock)
- Repairs by not authorised third parties
- Failure/loss of function of the print heads after 200 billion shots

- failure to comply with the maintenance and cleaning intervals specified by Brother
cleaning intervals for the print head
5. Prerequisites for warranty services
A prerequisite for warranty service is that all prescribed maintenance and
maintenance and care work has been carried out in a workshop recognized by the manufacturer and that all the manufacturer's instructions in the operating instructions (in particular regarding maintenance cycles) have been done in time. Otherwise claims under the guarantee may be lost.
6. Transferability of the guarantee
(Subject to proper registration, see point 1) If, in the event of the sale of the device, the purchaser replaces the seller (original purchaser) in the legal position of the seller under this warranty, provided that during the warranty period a notification of sale (with the registration data acc. point 1) was made on the Internet at
http://www.brother-industrial.com, then the remaining warranty claim is transferred to the purchaser.
7. Exclusion of further claims
Within the scope of this warranty, further claims of the buyer beyond those expressly
mentioned in this warranty are excluded.
8. Miscellaneous
This manufacturer's warranty is provided on a voluntary basis. Warranty services
do not result in an extension of the warranty period and do not start a new period. Warranty claims expire on the last day of the warranty period. If a claim is asserted within the warranty period, but the warranty owed guarantee service has not yet been provided, the limitation period shall be suspended until the service has been provided and expires three months after the last warranty service or submission of a declaration that the service has been provided or that there is no warranty claim.
